Avonlea Gardens & Inn is a family-owned nursery and inn located at 12511 Fowlers Mill Road in Chardon. New owners Amy and Joe Goletz focus on native plants and hope to share the importance of planting natives to support our native wildlife. Avonlea offers sun- and shade-loving perennials, shrubs, trees, vines, annuals, herbs, and succulents, as well as service with a smile.

Meadow City is a recently opened native plant nursery on Cleveland's east side. All of their plants are native to northeast Ohio and grown from locally-collected seed. The pots are plastic free, and peatlands are protected by the use of peat-free potting soil.


Native Roots, Inc. is a sister owned native plant nursery in Richfield, Ohio, with a mission to be a resource for people looking to support ecosystems and solve problems in their greenspaces by planting natives. After 11 years in business, they offer over 100 species of native perennials from regionally collected seedstock that provide food and habitat for pollinators and other wildlife.

Plant it Native is a backyard operation locally owned by Josh Myers in Willoughby Hills, OH. Josh earned a degree in environmental science from Bowling Green State University and has been working to preserve our natural environment since 2014. He strives to ensure that all plants are grown from Ohio or Midwest ecotypes whenever possible. His plants can be purchased at the Heart of Willoughby Outdoor Market located in the Willoughby City Hall parking lot from May to October.
